Rain Harvesting Barrels

Reasons to have a rain barrel

  • Controls moisture levels around your home
  • Conserves water in the summer months when the demand is highest
  • Utilizes fresh water for gardens, flower beds, trees, etc.
  • High decorative appeal and functionality
  • Helps preserve and recycle our natural resources instead of letting the water run off into the storm and sewer systems.
  • Also protects our rivers, lakes, and streams from runoff pollution.

Rain Chains

Rain Chains

Rain chains are a beautiful and functional alternative to traditional, closed gutter downspouts. Guiding rain water visibly down chains or cups from the roof to the ground, rain chains transform a plain gutter downspout into a pleasing water feature. From the soft tinkling of individual droplets to the soothing rush of white water, they are a treat to listen to.

Rain chains (‘kusari doi’ in Japanese) in concept are not a new idea. For hundreds of years, the Japanese have used the roof of their homes to collect water, transporting it downward with chains and finally depositing the rain water into large barrels for household water usage. Japanese temples often incorporate quite ornate and large rain chains into their design. Rain chains have been spotted in South America, where chain is easier to obtain that machined downspouts.

Stripeless Tiger Strip

Tiger Striping

Ever notice those dirty streaks on the face of your gutters? This is commonly referred to as Tiger Striping. Tiger Striping occurs when chemicals or substances in the air (such as dust & dirt, pollen, acid rain, and polluted air) settle on the top lip of the gutter.  When combined with condensation or rain water it rolls down the face of your gutters causing dark streaks and stains.

The Solution

All Phase Exteriors has developed a product that we call Stripeless Tiger Strip. It is a custom-fabricated aluminum drip edge that is specifically designed for your gutters. Instead of the polluted, dirty water streaking and staining the face of the gutters, it drips off the stripeless tiger strip and away from your gutters keeping them looking like new. It is low profile and we have several colors to choose from so we can best match your gutter system. Unlike other products, ours isn’t made of plastic that can crack and break easily with stress or temperature changes.  Stripeless Tiger Strip is a one-time investment that saves you the risk of injury or the cost of paying someone to clean the outside of your gutters every year.
